This was the best history tour my wife and I have ever taken. I was especially touched by the personal stories of those who lived and died in Beaufort. This tour is a must and it is worth spending a couple of days in this beautiful town. |

My family and I had the most wonderful opportunity to share in your Walking History Tour of Beaufort. I cannot rave enough as to the quality of the experience you provided our family! It was a warm June day, but you managed to find all the shady spots to stop and relate with drama and animation, the varying and complex layers of the history of beautiful Beaufort. Your ability to make past come alive is outstanding; all your tourists need do is close their eyes and imagine being back in time. In all, I have not found a more interesting, knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide in all this land! Kudos, Jon! We'll be back again and again and, of course, I will enthusiastically recommend your tour to everyone I can! Thanks for a most memorable tour of magnificent Beaufort! |

...we especially enjoyed your commentaries on the occupation of Beaufort during the War and the use of mansions for military hospitals. Your rapture towards the live oak trees will not be forgotten, nor will your vivid descriptions of life during wartime. Hope you didn't spend the tip wisely! |

I want to thank you for the outstanding walking tour you presented to our group February 12th. Everyone agreed it was an excellent tour with a most animated commentary...we could easily imagine we were there and living the history of Beaufort. If one plans on a Beaufort tour yours is the only one visitors should consider. |

When we tell friends about our trip to The Low Country your remarkable tour is one of the jewels of our description. Your riveting account proves that history is "the story of people" and your vivid re-telling is both memorable and compelling. Thank you for making history come alive for us! We know where we will take guests when we return. |

My wife and I have traveled around the world and few tours compare to what Jon brings to life and the information he shares. He has a true passion for what he does. If you have but one day in Beaufort, you must take a walk with Jon |

My daughter and I took your tour while visiting from Oregon. We had a most wonderful vacation and your tour and town were the highlight of the trip. Thanks for the happy memories of Beaufort and the reminder that history can be intriguing when told by a master. |

We were part of your eight person tour last week. I must tell you that it was a wonderful experience. My husband and I have enjoyed many walking tours here on the East Cost and several in England. Your tour was one of the finest. Your warm and friendly manner, coupled with your vast knowledge of history made the experience memorable!! As a former English teacher I can only hope that my students found me half as interesting as our tour group found you!!! |
